Someone took a Jason Mraz song and then put clips to Wayney’s World to it.

My Dream Job

Well I found it.  I was watching the Disneyworld special on HGTV about how they decorate Disneyworld, all of the parks and the hotels for the holidays.  There is one woman who is in charge of organizing all of this.  She knows which ornaments go on which trees and then where each of the 1,300 trees go. It’s a full time job and they even have this huge warehouse where all the decorations are stored.  I’m sure it would get old after awhile.  I bet the last thing that these workers want to think about is how they are going to decorate their own home.

Down side of the job, she had to supervise everyone once the park closed to make sure everything was going smoothly.  But, it was only for about 5 days. I could just drink coffee.

Then as she was walking along main street, she pulled out her colored coded schedule!

It was like we were soul mates.

Gingerbread House Making

This year Joe and I attempted to make our own gingerbread house.  After about an hour, I was done and just wanted to finish the thing.  I took this picture when I thought we were done.  Afterward, Joe went and added “snow” to the whole tray to make it look more appealing. Thanks Joe.

Announcement

It is now time to announce that we are expecting a baby in June.  The first trimester is officially over.  This blog will probably be filled with more baby stuff now.  I thought it would be better than sending you email updates on the current size of the baby (today its 3 inches- the size of a medium shrimp)  Kind of makes you want to run out to Red Lobster now huh?  But if you don’t want to read it, then you don’t have to go to the blog- problem solved.  But I guess you already know that.

The Joys of Decorating

Well it’s that time of year again when Joe is forced to help me with the Christmas decorating.  “Help” just means getting the decorations from the basement and then putting the empty boxes back in the basement.  Of  course this is like telling him that he has to get a root canal.

Well I did something even worse this past weekend.  I asked him to put decorate the small four foot tree that we have.  Ahhh, the pain.  The suffering.  Joe barely survived.

Let’s mention that the lights already come on the tree.  After putting about ten ornaments on the tree he asked for the tree to be inspected.  “Good job, right?”

“Um, you only have ten ornaments on the tree.   What is wrong with you?”

“I’m just not used to so many ornaments.”

Soooo many ornaments.  Like he was raised in a box in his whole life and has never seen a Christmas tree before.

He got the ornaments on and then came the dreaded tree topper.  To Joe’s defense, the tree topper is heavy and would probably be heavy for an eight foot tree.  The solution we came up with last year was to have the tree topper twist tied to the tree.  Then the whining started.

“Do we really have to use this tree topper again? It’s just so heavy.”  Now it was like someone was telling Joe he had to sit through an episode of Real Housewives of Orange County.  His shoulders slumped down and he started bending his knees.

Too bad we already have a puppy, so those tricks don’t work with me.

“We only have this tree topper, so this is the one you are going to use.  Maybe Santa will bring you another one for Christmas.”

“Really?  Ok.”

Please.  This is what he is telling me what he wants for Christmas.

Thank you a year and half later

Random.

I opened my mail yesterday to find a letter addressed from a friend.  I thought it was a Christmas card.  It was a thank you from their wedding.  Their wedding which was in May of 2008.  Really?

Ok it was nice that they sent the thank you, but I almost want to say, why did they even bother?  I guess I was more happy than aggravated because now they are off of the list of rude people.  But I think have to start a new list for super random people.
